We work with experienced Specialist Mentors and Study Skills Tutors who share our commitment to professionalism, compassion and excellence. Our aim is to create positive, lasting outcomes for students while building a supportive organisation where tutors and mentors feel valued, respected and empowered to do their best work.
We are currently looking for experienced Study Skills Tutors and Specialist Mentors who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support that empowers students to become confident, independent learners.
All roles are on a self-employed basis, supporting those entitled to the Disabled Students' Allowance through the SFE. This is a flexible role offering the opportunity to work with university students on a one-to-one basis, either remotely or on a university campus.
Pat rates are £38- £43 per hour (we pay a higher rate because we value your skills and time; please also note that we are limited in what we can charge due to the SFE's price cap).
We operate casual sub-contracting contracts on a self-employed basis.
We also provide group supervision and support while you are working with us.
Study Skills Tutors
As a Study Skills Tutor, you will provide specialist one-to-one support to university students who receive Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA). Working collaboratively with each student, you will help them develop practical strategies to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and become more independent in their studies.
Support is tailored to each student's needs and may include time management, organisation, academic reading, essay planning, research skills, note-taking, revision techniques, and the development of effective learning strategies.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to students' university experience while helping them develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed both academically and beyond.

Specialist Mentor
As a Specialist Mentor, you will provide one-to-one support to university students with mental health conditions or Autism, helping them develop the strategies, confidence and independence needed to succeed in higher education.
Working in partnership with each student, you will create a supportive, non-judgemental environment where they can identify barriers to learning and develop practical approaches to overcome them. Support may include managing anxiety and stress, improving organisation and planning, developing emotional resilience, building motivation, and enhancing communication and self-advocacy skills.
Every student is different, so we are looking for mentors who are compassionate, adaptable and committed to delivering person-centred support that empowers students to achieve their academic goals while fostering long-term independence.
